Ohio casinos see increase in August revenues

The four stand-alone casinos of Ohio have seen a nice uptick in revenues for the month of August, as the Ohio Casino Control Commission has released the latest revenue reports. For the month, revenues statewide came in a $70.3 million which is a 5.4% increase from the $66.7 million earned the same month last year.

Individual Casino Breakdown:

The largest monthly increase was seen at the Jack Cincinnati Casino, which was up close to 15% when compared to August 2017. This casino is owned by Jack Entertainment LLC and earned $17.7 million last month, much more than the $15.4 million earned the same month last year.

Jack Entertainment also owns the Jack Cleveland Casino, a venue that earned $17.5 million last month, an increase of 4% month over month. The Hollywood properties of the state saw a slightly less increase, but an increase nonetheless. The Hollywood Casino Toledo was up 3% to $16.7 million, earning just a little bit more than the $16.2 million of August 2017. The Hollywood Casino Columbus was up 1% from last year, earning $18.4 million for the month.

All gaming revenue ps are released by the state control commission, as they govern the table games and slots of the state. The ps released by the group focus on the gambling totals of c 7BALL asino, and do not include revenues from food sales, drinks, merchandise or events.

2018 Looks Good:

The casinos look good for 2018, set to finish out the year with an increase in yearly revenues, if the monthly numbers continue at their current pace. At the Hollywood Casino Toledo, the venue has earned just over $136 million thus far, which is 2% more than the first eight months of 2018. The Hollywood Casino Columbus is up even more at 2.8% for the year, having earned $152.7 million from January to August.

The Jack Cincinnati Casino is up just under 2% for the year, with $135.5 million in total earnings while the Jack Cleveland Casino has surprisingly earned the same $135.5, up 1.7% for the year.

Ohio is also home to seven racinos, which offer video gaming and slots. These gaming venues are overseen by the Ohio Lottery Commission. For the month of August, the commission reported that the racinos earned $79 million in total revenues, a 6% increase from August 2017.
